Industrial Security Operations was handed over from the State Police in 1999.Security was tasked to control , monitor and protect all Access Points, Vital installations and perimeter fence line bordering and within the Industrial City. The recently establish Mobile Patrolling Unit are a rapid response team who attend any incidents/accidents reported and provide vehicle escorts for identified needs as well as conduct checkpoint visits in all areas of the Industrial City.
Added authority has been given to all QP Security Guards performing duties at a QP Facility under QP Corporate Mandate and Decision 49/2004 Powers and Authority as issued by the State of Qatar. Within QP property personnel are permitted to stop, search and detain any person who contravenes any by-law.
