Mesaieed International School opened in September 2008 and is now fully operational in its splendid new premises. This is the first of a series of new schools catering for the children of employees of Qatar Petroleum, its Subsidiaries, Joint Venture companies, and other Industries in Mesaieed. It is a British-style school and follows the National Curriculum for England & Wales, with additions as appropriate to provide for the multinational and multicultural community it serves. The school operates from Pre-school through to Year 10, with the current expansion reaching completion in September 2010 with the addition of Year 11, enabling the first cohort of GCSE students to sit Edexcel and Cambridge external exams in the summer of 2011.
