Al-Afjah Heritage Village
Located on the western outskirts of MIC, adjacent to the existing greenbelt, this village was the first development in Mesaieed and was occupied up until the late 1970’s. MIC is currently restoring the buildings using traditional construction methods and will provide attractive landscaping and lighting.
The old village settlement of Al Afjah near the western wadi still remains, although it has been abandoned and stands in a state of disrepair. The general character of the village willbe conserved and protected from indiscriminate building and brought into more effective use by the introduction of facilities of a compatible nature in the Desert Park setting.
